Mostyn optimistic over Cherries

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn is confident the club are finally on course to move out of administration.

He told BBC Radio Solent he is finalising a business plan and is optimistic about the future.

"All our staff and players received 100% of their salary at the end of last month in addition to us satisfying the rent on the stadium and other bills.

"The funding is in place and that is a major leap forward compared with the aborted attempts we had in the past."

Mostyn says finances have been secured for the Cherries to come out of administration and back under his control.

Ratification of the plans is expected to take place at a Football League board meeting in July.

Bournemouth entered administration in February and were relegated to League Two on the final day of the season after a 10-point penalty deduction.

But the club have had more positive news after four players signed new deals for the League Two campaign.

Utility player Shaun Cooper has signed a new two-year contract. Strikers Lee Bradbury and Brett Pitman and defender Ryan Garry have also committed their immediate futures to the club.
