Bolton form may mean Anelka exit
"I want to be in a team that rivals big clubs not one playing to finish 10th or 15th"
Nicolas Anelka
Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka has warned he will be forced to consider his future if the club's poor start to the season continues.
The Trotters have lost their opening three matches under new manager Sammy Lee following a summer in which Anelka, 28, was linked to a host of clubs.
"If I have to leave, it'll be because of bad results," said the Frenchman.
"I want to be in a team that rivals big clubs not one playing to finish 10th or 15th. I want to rediscover a big club."
Anelka, who has played for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League, has rediscovered his best form while at Bolton and is now a regular in the France team.
His displays have prompted links to clubs across Europe but Anelka says he will be happy to stay at Bolton - if Lee can achieve a quick turnaround of results.

The transfer window closes on 31 August but Anelka added: "Things are going well at Bolton, even if the results are not there. I will fight for the club because they allowed me to return to England.
"During the summer there has only been speculation about me. No club has made an offer to Bolton, therefore I haven't really had to choose.
"People talk about Arsenal, Manchester United - that is just chit-chat. At no moment has there been a real desire to sign me."
