Pool cancel Northern Ireland trip

Blackpool

Blackpool have cancelled a planned trip to Northern Ireland later this week due to "unforeseen circumstances beyond their control".

Friendlies against Ballymena and Bangor had been advertised by the two clubs but secretary Matt Williams claimed they were never officially confirmed.

"We would like to apologise to those supporters who have booked flights, ferries and hotels," he added.

Blackpool will now travel to play Shrewsbury Town on Friday at 1930 BST.
