Blackpool president Valeri Belokon is expecting the Lancashire side to compete with the "strongest clubs" in the Championship next season.
The Seasiders will play in the second tier of English football for the first time in 29 years after winning promotion through the play-offs.
"We need to prove that we're able to play as equals with the strongest clubs," the Latvian told BBC Sport.
"Our aim will be to make a good stand and play well in the coming season."
He added: "The board of directors will meet in the end of June and decide on our plans for the next season."
Belokon praised manager Simon Grayson and promised him that funds would be available for their forthcoming campaign.
"Without any doubt, Simon did brilliantly by getting Blackpool into the Championship," he said.
"Last season he revealed himself as a manager in true meaning of the word - he managed the funds available to him and produced a good sqaud.
"I am convinced that Simon will tackle his responsibilities very well next season.
"We spoke about our childhood days, about our life behind the Iron Curtain"
"Of course we will make sure that Simon gets the resources he needs so that Blackpool can participate in the Championship with dignity."
Belokon, who bought substantial shares before the start of last season and is believed to be investing £5m, said he was happy that the players who helped Blackpool win promotion were eager to remain at the club.
"We are getting offers for our playing staff, but many want to stay," he added.
"So far we have concluded deals with Wes Hoolahan, goalkeeper Paul Rachubka and Danny Coid, while we are continuing negotiations with Robbie Williams."
With the demand for season tickets increasing as a result of Blackpool's success, the Latvian millionaire promised that plans were afoot to revamp Bloomfield Road.
"Our main goal is to finish reconstruction of the ground in order to make it more spacious and comfortable for the club's supporters," he said.
"We will have a board meeting soon where we will discuss specific details and investment plans for the improvement of Bloomfield Road."
Belokon said Blackpool's victory over Yeovil in the play-offs final was still fresh in his mind and revealed how he celebrated their success.
"I was with a circle of people who are close to me, including my childhood friends who I invited to the game," the Latvian added.
"We spoke about our childhood days, about our life behind the Iron Curtain.
"No-one could imagine in those days that one day we would be sitting in Wembley Stadium and that one of us would be a president of a football club that would go on to win a special game."
