Birmingham sign Hunt in loan deal
Birmingham City have signed defender Nicky Hunt from Bolton Wanderers on an one-month loan deal.
Hunt, could be available for Blues' next seven games, starting with Monday night's home date against Coventry.
Manager Alex McLeish has moved to sign Hunt, 25, following injuries to Stuart Parnaby and Stephen Kelly.
It left him with only 19-year-old Jared Wilson, who made his first team debut in last week's defeat at Queens Park Rangers, as a specialist right-back.
But McLeish insists the signing of Hunt is no slight to the teenager, telling the club website: "Bringing in Nicky is certainly no discredit to Jared Wilson, who is a very good young player.
"But to blood a youngster by asking them to play week in, week out and then say 'We have got to get back into the Premier League' is a lot to ask."
