Birmingham dismiss Koller report
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce says he has no intention of signing Czech Republic veteran Jan Koller from Monaco.
Bruce is looking for a striker after he lost out to Middlesbrough in the race for Tottenham forward Mido but insisted Koller, 34, is not a target.
"Am I close to signing Jan Koller? That's a load of rubbish," said Bruce, who is also looking for a midfielder.
"There is no chance of that happening. The first I knew of it was when I read about it."
Bruce is also hoping Mikael Forssell's calf injury will not see him sidelined for the weekend's game at Derby.
606: DEBATE
Forssell had to be substituted after 65 minutes during the defeat by West Ham on Saturday and will miss Finland's Euro 2008 qualifier against Kazakhstan on Wednesday.
There was encouraging news about defender Rafael Schmitz, who may be able to avoid having surgery on his Achilles tendon.
Bruce said: "Mikael should be OK, for the weekend possibly, and we might get away with Rafael not requiring surgery and instead having rehab work."
