Doyle signs new Birmingham deal

Birmingham goalkeeper Colin Doyle has signed a new four-year contract to keep him at St Andrews until 2011.

Doyle, 21, has been in impressive form since replacing Maik Taylor, and produced an injury-time penalty save to earn a 3-2 win at Wolves on Sunday.

Blues coach Eric Black said: "Colin has waited patiently for his chance but now he has grabbed it with both hands.

"He has magnificent presence and his handling has been secure. He can only get better in the next year or two."
