Barrow will give trialist defender Jamie Burns another chance to earn a contract in the home friendly against Workington Reds on Thursday.
The former Blackpool and Morecambe player has impressed in his two friendly outings for the Blue Square Premier new boys so far this summer.
"We've not made a decision on Jamie yet," Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"He's done OK. We'll give him a run-out against Workington before deciding."
The 24-year-old Blackpool-born player began his career as a trainee with his home-town club, making over fifty appearances for the Seasiders.
Burns also had loan spells with Bury and Morecambe before making a permanent switch to Christie Park in 2007, where he has found first-team opportunities limited.

Barrow, who open their season at home to Oxford United on 8 August, have made two signings this summer in Lee Hunt from Rhyl and Ashley Winn from Stalybridge Celtic.
The Bluebirds are hoping to make further additions to their squad before the new season gets underway with an unnamed Football League player targeted for a potential loan deal.
Bayliss has also issued a warning to his squad after watching his side labour to a 1-1 pre-season draw at Lancaster City.
He believes complacency may have set in for some of his squad following their promotion to the top flight of non-league football.
"Maybe we could be getting a bit more out of a few of them. If they don't deliver, they won't play. It's as simple as that."
Bayliss had accused some of his players of complacency following the 2-0 friendly defeat by Morecambe and saw his side struggle again against a Lancaster side three divisions below them in the non-league pyramid.

Chris Thompson scored the Bluebirds' equaliser a minute from time at the Giant Axe.

"The lads we have got here are really hard working lads and we can't forget what got us promotion in the first place - sheer hard graft.
"We've got to go back to our roots, if you like. That's a lot of hard work and determination."
The Bluebirds' management team of Bayliss and Darren Sheridan have asked their players to step-up their performances for the remaining friendlies against Workington Reds, Oldham Athletic (30 July) and Accrington Stanley (2 August).
"The Lancaster game was frustrating at times and it took us a long time to get going," Bayliss said.
"Me and Daz had a word with them after the game to say we weren't too happy with certain aspects of the performance so hopefully they can put that right in the next few matches."
