Barnsley have turned down what they describe as a "decent" offer from Bristol City for their highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Anderson De Silva.
Reds boss Simon Davey says the 26-year-old has attracted interest from the Robins for a couple of weeks but their bid did not match Barnsley's valuation.
Davey told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We've given them a figure and they'll come back or not come back.
"At the moment, it's not right for the club to sell Anderson."
Barnsley signed De Silva from Everton at the beginning of last season after he had spent a year on loan at Oakwell.
