Davey will not look for loan yet
Barnsley manager Simon Davey wants to give his squad players the chance to prove themselves rather than to enter the loan market for a new striker.
The Reds boss was considering bringing in another front man to the club replace the injured Iain Hume.
But Davey wants to see if his other front men can step up to the plate.
"I've got Jon Macken, Kayode Odejayi, Miguel Mostto, Michael Coulsen and Maceo Ritgers so I have cover there," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"I know we have lost Iain Hume, but I think with what I have got in the squad at this moment in time then I can go with that.
"It is going to be down to the players to takeover and then keep the spot."
