Injury rules Davies out for Villa
Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a ruptured Achilles in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates.
The defender was stretchered off on 40 minutes and will undergo an operation on Saturday evening.
The 22-year-old was a surprise call-up in Fabio Capello's first England squad against Switzerland in February.
"Getting picked gave him a boost of confidence, it's really unfortunate," said Villa boss Martin O'Neill.
He added: "Curtis was devastated, he has done so well, it's really disappointing for us,"
Davies - currently on loan from midland rivals West Brom - made headlines in September when he compared his debut Villa performance in the League Cup defeat to Leicester with a pub player.
