Wenger happy with FA Cup progress

WENGER'S VIEW

Bolton 0-1 Arsenal

Allardyce rues missed chance

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praised his team's focus after their 1-0 victory at Bolton in the FA Cup.

"To come to Bolton and win was not easy," said Wenger. "Our concentration needed to be very strong.

"Everyone was down and frustrated after the Champions League exit to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

"But people forget we won the match against Bayern on Wednesday and beat Portsmouth before that so the team is on a good run of form."

Freddie Ljungberg scored the only goal of the game after three minutes and El-Hadji Diouf was dismissed for elbowing Jens Lehmann shortly afterwards.

"El-Hadji Diouf helped us because he can be a threat but he always plays on the edge and I think he deserved to be sent off," added Wenger.

"But at our club we try to win every match and if you look at out record in the FA Cup I do not think anyone has a better record over the last seven years."
