Aldershot caretaker manager Jason Dodd says he is a bit disappointed with the treatment he has had during his tenure at the club.
The 39-year-old, who rejoins Southampton's backroom staff on Monday, feels his hard work has not been publicly recognised by the board.
Dodd told BBC Surrey: "Last week a lot was going out in the press. Me and Paul were a little bit disappointed.
"Never once was it mentioned about the grafting we were doing."
He added: "We were getting in at seven, quarter past seven in the morning, trying to get Andy the groundsman to open the gate and let us in.
"[But] it's understandable, because the club were trying to sort out the important issues in the boardroom.
"But we can't talk about that now. They've got a fantastic bunch here.
"It's not just the playing staff, there's all the staff at the stadium, and all the supporters - it's a fantastic family club."
