Newman happy to be Shots mentor

Aldershot Town midfielder and assistant team coach Ricky Newman says he is enjoying his new mentoring role at the EBB arena.

The 38-year-old plays in a number of positions when required and gives guidance to younger squad members.

Newman told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "I'm enjoying the coaching side but am staying fit and want to keep playing for as long as I can,

"I'd like to stay in the game and will keep every option open."
