Calderwood happy at cup victory

Jimmy Calderwood

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood expressed delight after watching his side progress to the third-round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.

Chris Maguire's goal was enough to see off Ayr United at Somerset Park.

"We dominated the game and we should've scored a lot more goals but their goalkeeper has made some great saves," Calderwood told BBC Sport.

"There were a couple of scary moments with corners and set-pieces for Ayr. But we've got through a difficult tie."
