Queen's Park picked up their first home win in nearly seven months by seeing off East Stirlingshire at Hampden Park.
Shire had a glorious opportunity to take the lead after 12 minutes when Jamie Stevenson was fouled in the box, but Andy Rodgers' spot-kick was saved.
Both side were unhappy at being denied two further penalties each, while Shire hit the bar from Stevenson's free-kick.
But the Spiders claimed all three points when Frankie Carroll volleyed in after 74 minutes.
