Airdrie United 3-0 Cove Rangers

Airdrie booked their place in the fourth round of the Homecoming Scottish Cup thanks to three first-half goals.

Joe Cardle opened the scoring on 20 minutes when he carried the ball across the 18-yard line before turning and drilling a low shot into the net.

With seven minutes of the first half remaining Simon Lynch rounded goalkeeper Stuart McKenzie and slotted the ball into the net.

Three minutes later Steven McDougall crossed for Lynch to head his second.
