St Johnstone 0-0 Ayr Utd
St Johnstone and Ayr United failed to conjure up a goal in a poor Scottish Cup tie, although the visitors perhaps deserved more from the game.
A fierce Steven Milne drive saved by Ayr keeper Mark McGeown was the highlight of a poor first-half.
Ayr restarted brightly and David Dunn hit a superb 35-yard strike only to be denied by Saints keeper Kevin Cuthbert.
The visitors continued to press and came close when Jerome Vareille spooned over from short range.
