Ex-goalkeeper Kendall dies at 49
Former Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves, Newport County, Swansea, Ebbw Vale and Cwmbran goalkeeper Mark Kendall has died at the age of 49.
The Blackwood man joined Spurs as an apprentice at the age of 16.
Newport paid £45,000 for his services in September 1980 and he went on to play almost 350 games for the club.
After retiring at the age of 34, Kendall joined the Gwent Police Force and was named Police Trainer of the Year in 2007.

Kendal won Wales Under-21 honours, but was not capped at senior level.
