TNS 2-1 Rhyl

TNS striker Jamie Wood hit the winner TNS came from a goal down to beat Welsh Premier champions Rhyl and reach the FAW Premier Cup semi-finals.

The visitors went into the break with a deserved one goal lead after TNS captain John Leah had headed the ball into his own net from a Rhyl corner.

Defender Steve Evans equalised with a low drive and striker Jamie Wood added a second as TNS pilled on the pressure.

Peter Smith had a golden opportunity to force extra time five minutes from time but he sliced the ball horribly wide.

The referee could have blown for a penalty but he allowed the advantage as the ball fell to substitute Smith with only the goalkeeper to beat.
