Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp paid tribute to his side's character after they came from behind to win at Watford and reach the Carling Cup semi-final.
The holders conceded an early goal, but Darren Bent's 76th-minute strike gave Spurs a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road.
Redknapp said: "We showed terrific character to come back and I thought we battered them for 35 minutes.
"It gives lots of games coming up, but I'd rather be in the semi-final than out and it gives us a great chance."
Bent struck after he was introduced as a second-half substitute by Redknapp - who now wants the striker to recapture the form he showed immediately after the manager's arrival.
Redknapp said: "He had a great spell, then a couple of weeks when I felt he didn't do quite as well. He's got to get back to that form. I felt he had taken his foot off the pedal."
Tamas Priskin gave Watford an early lead, but Roman Pavlyuchenko equalised from the spot in first-half stoppage time before Bent got the winner with 14 minutes remaining.
Spurs are also competing in the Uefa Cup, and Redknapp admitted his squad will be stretched to the limit in coming weeks.
He said: "It is a lot of games. We haven't got a big squad. It's not bulging at the seams - but I'd rather have the games than be out of the competitions."
New Watford boss Brendan Rodgers was delighted with his side's performance, saying: "I feel nothing but pride. I thought the players gave everything and our supporters were fantastic. They really got behind us.
"The game was on the edge right until the end. I thought we made a terrific start and were good value for Tamas Priskin's early goal.
"We started well in the second half and did well, but they got the second goal with not long to go, and of course it is very difficult then."
