Wycombe manager Paul Lambert was jubilant after his side's shock 1-0 victory over Premiership side Charlton in their Carling Cup quarter-final.
"It was an extraordinary effort from us," Lambert said.
"I don't get this thing that 'it's only Charlton'. They are a top class side with a terrific stadium and fans and we gave a good account of ourselves.
"We had the better of the goal chances, but they were still a threat. We punched above our weight."
Wycombe are the first team through to the semi-finals where they could meet Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham or Southend.
Lambert's side have now claimed two Premiership scalps following their second round win over Fulham.
And striker Jermaine Easter, who netted the winner against the Addicks, has now scored in every round of the Carling Cup so far.
"I would say this is probably the most important goal of my career so far," the former Wales under-21 international added.
"I did think it was going to be harder.
"Obviously they are struggling in the Premiership, but I thought it was going to be tougher than it was. As the game went on and we had gone in front, I did not think we were going to lose.
"We could have gone into half-time two or three-nil up, it was disappointing in that respect.
"It was a no-pressure game for us and all the lads wanted to just enjoy it. We are in the semi-final now, and that is massive."
The defeat for Charlton put added pressure on manager Les Reed, who only replaced Iain Dowie last month.
Around 50 supporters raised vocal protests outside the stadium, braving the cold night in south-east London.
Reed and the players remained locked in the dressing room for over an hour after the match and there was no club representative at the post-match news conference.
