Dundalk 1-2 Derry City

Derry City finished their League of Ireland Premier Division campaign on a high when they beat Dundalk 2-1 at Oriel Park on Friday night.

Michael McGowan opened the scoring for the home side with a lob in the 27th minute but Gareth McGlynn replied for City with a 47th-minute penalty.

Dundalk were reduced to 10 men when forward Darren Mansaran was sent off in the 72nd minute.

Defender Clive Delaney scored the winner with an 88th minute header.

The Candystripes finished fourth in the league table, one point behind Cork City.
