Maccabi Haifa 6-0 Glentoran

Glentoran's Paul Leeman

Glentoran conceded three goals in the last 10 minutes as they went down to a heavy defeat in the Champions League second round qualifier in Israel.

The Irish League side held out for 36 minutes in the first-leg game before Lior Rafaelov put Maccabi in front.

Yaniv Katan (52) doubled the lead and Vladimir Dvalishvili scored the third five minutes later.

Dvalishvili (81), Shlomi Arbeitman (83) and Momahed Shahbary (89) added late goals as the Glens tired.

Glentoran captain Paul Leeman started the game after being a doubt because of illness.

The return leg at the Oval is next Wednesday with the outcome of the qualifier effectively decided.
