Toshack delighted with Wales win

Wales boss John Toshack was delighted with his side's friendly win in Denmark, which saw Arsenal youngster Aaron Ramsey make his senior debut.

But it was Craig Bellamy's 77th-minute strike which separated the two sides at a rain-soaked Brondby Stadium.

"I'm delighted with the result," Toshack told BBC Wales.

"We had some anxious moments, but I think overall we can't fault the players who worked very, very hard for each other."

He added: "I thought we had four or five really good chances and two terrific saves from Boaz Myhill.

What do you think of Wales' performance?

"We've come here without important players, so it's really pleasing to see the way the team worked and when we were in a little bit of trouble, we stuck to it."

Toshack also paid tribute to captain Bellamy who scored the winning goal.

"I asked him to play deeper and go behind and he still got his chances in the first half and scored the winning goal as well," he said.

"Ramsey and (Jack) Collison also did well particularly in view of the fact there's not a great deal of experience around them.

"They are among their friends, they've all come through together."
