England U21 2-0 Bulgaria U21

England Under-21 goalscorer Gabriel Agbonlahor scores the side's opener against Bulgaria with a header England Under-21's maintained their 100% record for Euro 2009 qualification as they beat Group Three rivals Bulgaria at the MK Dons' stadium.

Bulgaria looked the better side in the first half but Gabriel Agbonlahor nodded in a James Milner cross after 40 minutes to put the home side in front.

The lively Theo Walcott nodded wide and then spurned a chance to put England further ahead by seeing a shot saved.

But Walcott did win a late penalty and Milner slotted it in for the win.

Bulgaria will have felt aggrieved at going into the interval behind after they passed the ball with confidence with England struggling for possession.

What did you make of Theo Walcott's performance?

They almost equalised shortly after going behind but Leicester's 17-year-old left-back Joe Mattock, who became the second youngest player to ever represent England Under-21s, cleared off the line.

Almost immediately, Valeri Domovchiyski was put through on goal only to badly scuff his shot after a good first touch.

England changed formation after the break as defensive midfielder Fabrice Muamba came on for striker Matt Derbyshire and this helped the home side contain their visitors more easily.

Aston Villa's Agbonlahor was worryingly injured late on when he fell awkwardly.

Walcott was moved into the central striker role for Agbonlahor and wanted to take the spot-kick he earned after 81 minutes.

He was not initially happy at being overruled as Milner calmly scored to secure a fifth win out of five for England in their qualifying campaign.
