BREAKING GOSSIP

2131 BST: Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic said on his Twitter feed that "it's time to move on". Ibrahimovic is the subject of a proposed swap deal, with Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o set to move in the opposite direction. (Associated Press)

1700 BST: Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is on the verge of completing his £25m move to Manchester City after being left out of the Gunners' squad for the friendly against Barnet. (Press Association)

1548 BST: Hull assistant manager Brian Horton has denied reports linking the club with a move for controversial Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton. (Press Association)

1020 BST: Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc says the club have not received any bids for striker Marouane Chamakh, despite reported interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal. (Press Association)

Liverpool will intensify their efforts to sign Valencia playmaker David Silva.

Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch will decide over the weekend whether to join Sunderland or Fulham after both clubs made a £12m bid for the England international.
