Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that he may be ready to sign a contract extension at Manchester United. (The Sun)

Striker Dirk Kuyt is hoping he will be rewarded for Liverpool's fine start to the season with a new contract at Anfield. (Daily Star)

Celtic have been linked with a £1.2m January swoop for Portugese side Leixoes' 28-year-old free-scoring Brazilian striker Wesley. (The Scottish Sun)

Former Blackburn midfielder Robbie Savage could leave current club Derby for Beirut's top side Al-Ansar. (Daily Mirror)

Ex-Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock, who is now Crystal Palace manager, is considering joining his former Blades players in seeking compensation over the Carlos Tevez saga. An independent tribunal ruled West Ham broke Premier League rules when they played Tevez, who is now at Manchester United, at the end of the 2006/7 season and that the striker then went on to play a key role in keeping the Hammers up as Sheffield United were relegated. Chelsea have already booked their hotel for this season's Champions League final in Rome. (Daily Star)

AC Milan will pay for England midfielder David Beckham's bodyguards as part of the deal to secure his loan spell from Los Angeles Galaxy. (The Times)
