TRANSFER RUMOURS

Fulham are set to complete the signing of Rangers forward Daniel Cousin because Fifa will give the Gabon international, who has already played for Lille and Rangers this season, special dispensation. (Daily Mirror)

West Brom have beaten off a host of potential suitors to sign Aston Villa striker Luke Moore on loan, with a view to a permanent £3.5m summer transfer. (Daily Mirror)

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has branded Manchester United's pitch a "disgrace" and says it could hinder Sir Alex Ferguson's side as they bid to retain their Premier League title. (Various)

After balloon-gate helped Sheffield United to get past Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round, one Blades supporter attempted to distract his side's fifth-round opponents Middlesbrough on Sunday by launching a beach ball on to the pitch. It was duly deflated. (The Sun)

Barnsley boss Simon Davey was confident his side would beat Liverpool in the FA Cup on Saturday after a seagull dumped its load on his head during a pre-match stroll in the city centre. (Various)
