TRANSFER RUMOURS

Tottenham are set to offer Calum Davenport, plus £5m, for West Brom defender Curtis Davies. (The Sun)

Portsmouth will send loan signing Manuel Fernandes back to Benfica in January after rejecting the chance to sign the midfielder. (Various)

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp will have the backing of owner Alexandre Gaydamak in the January transfer window, with two or three signings in the offing. (The Sun)

Teenage defender Gareth Bale will snub a move to Manchester United to stay at Southampton. (Daily Mirror)

Bayern Munich are now considering selling England midfielder Owen Hargreaves to Manchester United, although such a deal is unlikely to go through until next summer. (Various)
