Ryman League side Dover could face a potentially lucrative FA Cup third qualifying round tie against AFC Wimbledon at the Crabble.
But the Whites must wait to see if the Blue Square South Dons can overcome Bedford Town in a replay on Tuesday.
"AFC will be the one because it really will test us and financially it'll be very good for the club," manager Andy Hessenthaler told BBC Radio Kent.
"I'm sure every Dover fan is hoping it's AFC Wimbledon."
He added: "Most of my players will be and I look forward to it when it comes around.
"They've got a fantastic following, as have we, so it'll be an interesting tie."

Maidstone face a trip to the Midlands to face Halesowen - a side that play at a similar level to the Stones - in the BGB Southern League Premier Division.
"It's not a glamorous tie but it's going to be a tough tie nevertheless," said Maidstone manager Lloyd Hume.
"They're the same standard of football as we are and they're going well in their league at the moment.
"When they used to play in the Southern League a number of years ago against the clubs I used to be at, they were always a tough team and on top of that you've got a fairly long travel to get there."
If Welling can get past Whyteleafe in a replay on Tuesday they will travel to fellow Blue Square South side Hampton and Richmond in the next round.
Bromley's conquerors - AFC Hornchurch - await Thamesmead if they can get through their replay against Merstham.
The ties will be played on Saturday, 11 October.
