Cardiff are unchanged from the side that earned a goalless draw at Ninian Park.
Antti Niemi, Zat Knight and Papa Bouba Diop remain sidelined for Fulham, while Tony Warner replaces Jan Lastuvka in goal.
Leicester's Paddy McCarthy passed a fitness test on his ankle, but Elvis Hammond remains out injured.
Newcastle line up with a side unchanged from that which beat Tottenham in the Premiership, while 16-year-old Kazenga LuaLua, the cousin of former Magpies striker Lomana, is on the bench.
Birmingham replace the suspended Radhi Jaidi and the injured pair Stephen Kelly and Nicklas Bendtner with Bruno N'Gotty, Martin Taylor and Cameron Jerome.
