Queen of the South were drawn to face Danish outfit Nordsjaelland in the Uefa Cup second qualifying round draw in Nyon on Friday.
The Scottish First Division side reached this stage after their run to the Scottish Cup final.
Queens will play at home in the first leg on 14 August but the tie will be played at Airdrie's Excelsior Stadium.
Nordsjalland are managed by the former Celtic and Dundee midfield player Morten Weighorst.
Manager Gordon Chisholm is confident the Scottish football public will come out in force for Queen of the South's first foray into Europe.
The lack of seats at Palmerston Park means the first leg is to be moved more than 70 miles away to Airdrie but Chisholm expects a 10,000 capacity crowd.

"I would love to have played at Palmerston, getting them in your own back yard is always going to be beneficial," the former Dundee United boss said.
"But Uefa regulations state that there is no standing allowed.
"However, it's the first time in history that we have played in Europe and I think that's why it will be a sell-out.
"I think there will be great interest in the game from the general public, as well as the people of Dumfries.
"And Airdrie is a good ground so hopefully it will be full and there is a great atmosphere on the night."
The second leg of the tie takes place on 26 August.
Nordsjaelland, from Farum in the northeast of the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark, qualified for the Uefa Cup with a Fair Play place.
The club finished in ninth place in the Danish Superliga last season and are currently sitting bottom of the table.
"I don't know anything about them, we need to see what kind of team they are but I am assuming it will be a hard game," added Chisholm.
"I will try and get out to watch them. There isn't a lot of time before the first game but they will be in the same position as us, they will try to scramble over here to see us but that's part of being in Europe.
"It's not often you get the chance to play in Europe so we are going to make the most of it and enjoy it.
"The younger boys at the club can only benefit, it's a different type of football and so it will be a great experience. And I am going to enjoy it as I enjoyed the Scottish Cup final last season."
