Bangor 1-6 Midtjylland

Bangor will need a super-human effort to stay in the Uefa Cup after a heavy first-leg home loss in their qualifying round against FC Midtjylland.

Les Davies gave Bangor hope when he equalised following Gheorghe Mihai Florescu's early goal for the Danes.

But Winston Reid had restored the visitors' lead by the break, before the floodgates opened in the second half.

Kim Christensen scored a hat-trick in a 10-minute spell, with Mikkel Thygesen adding a sixth goal for Midtjylland.

After their thumping in the home leg played at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground, Bangor must now go to Midtjylland's SAS Arena in Herning, Denmark, on 31 July for the return.
