Manchester United stormed back from three goals behind to earn an incredible 5-3 win against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

The champions trailed 3-0 at the break after goals from debutant Dean Richards, Les Ferdinand and Christian Ziege.

But Andy Cole, Laurent Blanc and Ruud van Nistelrooy were all on target as United hit back after half time to make it 3-3.

Juan Sebastian Veron put United ahead 4-3 before David Beckham added a late fifth.

Arsenal are the new leaders of the Premiership after beating Derby County 2-0 at Pride Park.

Thierry Henry put the Gunners ahead direct from a free-kick.

Arsenal were reduced to 10 men when Martin Keown was red-carded for two bookings.

Kevin Phillips broke the deadlock just 13 minutes from time after Per Frandsen had missed a penalty for Bolton.

Kevin Campbell put the Toffees ahead, heading home a Niclas Alexandersson cross just before half-time.

Everton added two more straight after the interval with a Don Hutchison own goal and Thomas Gravesen adding to West Ham's woes.

Steve Watson and Tomasz Radzinski rounded off a fine display from Walter Smith's side.

The Saints went ahead through James Beattie after 66 minutes.

Marian Pahars doubled the lead from the penalty spot before Alen Boksic pulled a goal back, also from a spot-kick.

But Beattie made certain for the Saints with his second goal of the game.

Both sides were reduced to 10 men after Steve Brown and Junior Lewis both saw red before Jonatan Johansson headed Charlton into the lead.

Shaun Bartlett doubled the Addicks' lead to dump Leicester bottom of the Premiership.
