Karleigh Osborne rescued a point for Brentford with a late equaliser in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash.
The Quakers took the lead on the hour mark when Richie Foran headed home unmarked at the far post from Franz Burgmeier's free-kick.
Foran could have made it two shortly after but he was thwarted by Bees Keeper Ben Hamer.
Darlington keeper Andy Oakes saved from Nathan Elder but Osborne bundled home Sam Wood's inswinging free-kick.
