Wrexham wasted a chance to lift off the foot of the Football League as they failed to beat Dagenham and Redbridge.

The Daggers were out-played but Wrexham were to rue missed chances and Drewe Broughton squandered three early on.

Sam Aiston wasted two great openings for Wrexham either side of the break before Broughton and Michael Proctor each hit the bar amid one-way traffic.

Neil Roberts then missed with a header but home 'keeper Gavin Ward made a late stop from Paul Benson to save defeat.
