Yeovil 1-0 Tranmere
A well-worked training-ground move saw skipper Terry Skiverton secure maximum points for Yeovil.
Skiverton smashed home a glorious 20-yard strike after Danny Schofield played the ball to him from a free-kick on the edge of the box.
Rovers rarely threatened and the Glovers were well worth the victory but they could have paid the price for failing to take their chances.
Gavin Tomlin wasted the best chance, heading straight at keeper Danny Coyne.
