Simon Cox's 74th-minute header was enough to give Swindon a battling win in the derby with Bristol Rovers.
The Robins striker rose at the near post to nod home Michael Timlin's in-swinging corner from the left.
The goal was tough on Rovers who wasted a fine opportunity five minutes earlier when Craig Disley fired over after being put clear by Rickie Lambert.
Rovers also went close when defender Byron Anthony had a second-half shot cleared via a defender and the post.
