Brighton found their shooting boots to stun fellow strugglers Leyton Orient.
Brighton broke the deadlock in the 39th minute as captain Dean Hammond converted Bas Savage's cross.
Savage met a Dean Cox cross 11 minutes into the second half with a ferocious shot and Joe Gatting slid home a third after 67 minutes.
The hosts replied through substitute Jason Demetriou's header on 86 minutes but Cox found space to rifle home right-footed two minutes later.
Leyton Orient: Garner, Saah, Lockwood, Thelwell, Mackie, Tudor, Mulryne (Demetriou 61), Chambers, Corden (Duncan 74), Alexander (Barnard 68), Walker.
