Wolves 1-1 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United striker James Beattie scored the equaliser to give his side a point against league leaders Wolves.

Neil Collins' second goal in successive games, a close-range header, put Wolves ahead before Beattie's tap-in restored parity three minutes later.

Blades striker Danny Webber had his shot saved in a one-on-one with Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey.

But, after a more cautious second half, a point was enough to keep Wolves seven clear at the top of the Championship.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy:
"Sheffield United played well. They were the better team.

"If told we would get four points off Sheffield United at the start of the season I would have been delighted. We could have been 3-0 down at half-time."

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell:
"We had more than the lion's share at Bramall Lane and got turned over by clinical finishing.

"Hennessey got man of the match today and I think that tells you all. The glass is half full for me, we carved them open.

"Mick's the first to agree we have dominated the game and come away with just one point."
