Cardiff City earned a vital point in their play-off challenge at Burnley where ex-Bluebirds striker Steven Thompson earned the hosts a draw.
Robbie Blake opened the scoring for the Clarets after 14 minutes at Turf Moor.
But Jay Bothroyd equalised after 26 minutes following good play by winger Wayne Routledge.
Routledge put the Bluebirds ahead two minutes after the break, but Thompson's equaliser against his former team-mates came after 76 minutes.
Burnley manager Owen Coyle:
"It would have been easy at 2-1 down to feel sorry for ourselves but our group of players don't know when we are beaten. They showed real courage.
"I felt Cardiff looked a good side and that we scored against the run of play. I have no doubt they will be in the shake up at the end of the season. Cardiff are packed with quality.
"It was important to keep the home run going and I felt late on that we could actually have won it."
Cardiff City boss Dave Jones:
"We came here to win it and I felt for a spell in the second-half of five or six minutes we just had a little panic up.
"I mean, Roger's missed the ball and kicked the post and if we'd come away winners today I don't think Owen [Coyle, Burnley boss] would have been too displeased because of the way we played and I thought some of the football we played was sublime.
"... I don't think we can complain. Every time we come here it ends up at 3-3 or 2-2. It's always exciting times, but I just felt that for five minutes in the second-half we just maybe lost our grip on the game and then got it back after that so it was a good game to watch."
