Burnley 3-2 Watford

Burnley came from behind twice to win a thriller against Watford at Turf Moor.

Will Hoskins put Watford ahead after six minutes with a cool finish, but Graham Alexander levelled from the spot after a handball in the area.

Hoskins slide in to snatch his second and restore Watford's lead on the stroke of half-time.

Martin Patterson rifled home a powerful finish a minute after the interval to restore equality before Wade Elliott headed the winner after 69 minutes.

Burnley boss Owen Coyle:
"We certainly never hit the dizzy heights of the displays that we have turned in recently.

"But to go behind twice in a game and win spoke volumes for the character, hunger and desire in the side.

"Words were exchanged at half time and the players were under no illusions what was required in the second half."

Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd:
"I like Burnley because they keep going until the end. We have jobs to do and we do them consistently.

"If you go ahead in a game like that, you win if you're a professional. Tonight we were very unprofessional and that's why we got beat.

"We were 1-0 up, 2-1 up and then lost 3-2 - that doesn't happen. You win the game and we didn't do that."
