Wolves continued their charge at the top of the Championship table with an impressive victory over Bristol City.
Michael Kightly opened the scoring in bizarre fashion, with his free-kick from the left looping directly over the Robins' bemused goalkeeper Chris Weale.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake made up for two bad misses, firing home to seal the points.
City had not conceded on their travels before this match but, with Michael McIndoe wasting their best chance, they rarely threatened in front of goal.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy:
"I demand a high work-rate from them. The ones who don't put it in don't play.
"It has been a really pleasing start. The best I have ever had. If we had not scored that second goal, it would have been a nervy finish but it should have been two earlier than it was.
"We had enough chances and weren't clinical. We weren't calm enough to pick the right pass or shot."
Bristol City boss Gary Johnson:
"We're humble enough to give Wolves credit but we are disappointed rather than disheartened.
"Wolves came at us very strongly from the start but we created opportunities either side of half-time and made a game of it. They are buzzing at the moment but Mick McCarthy will know they can be pegged back.
"They have a real work-rate and you can see their confidence and movement."
