Crystal Palace 0-0 Blackpool

Crystal Palace's play-off hopes were dented after they were held at home by lowly Blackpool.

Blackpool created the better chances and Gareth Taylor-Fletcher was denied by Julian Speroni after he burst clear. Speroni was much the busier of the two goalkeepers and he denied Wes Hoolahan at the death with a fingertip save.

On-loan winger Scott Sinclair impressed on his Palace debut but could not break the deadlock as both sides also had good appeals for penalties turned down.

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock:
"Unfortunately the referee hasn't got technology. In all fairness Scott Sinclair's feet are just too quick for him to see it.

"The ref will recognise that when he sees it again. Both would have been given if they were outside the box.

"It was a decent 0-0. Both teams went for the win, but it wouldn't go in."

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson:
"When a player goes down your first reaction is it could be a penalty - so I'm delighted he didn't give it.

"Their keeper had more to do than ours. In the first half we were exceptional. We should have been more ruthless and clinical but you can't fault the effort of my players.

"Our front two players caused them a lot of problems and at half-time we could have been two or three up.

"But credit to Palace, they came back after the break and you had to wonder how it ended 0-0."
