West Brom 3-3 Cardiff

Martin Albrechtsen pulls a goal back for West Brom West Brom salvaged a point as they came from behind to draw with Cardiff.

Cardiff's Paul Parry fired into the top corner after just 30 seconds and poked in a shot to put the visitors 2-0 up.

Roman Bednar hit back for the Baggies after heading in a Jonathan Greening cross only for Joe Ledley's drilled strike to extend Cardiff's lead.

But Martin Albrechtsen then headed in for the Baggies, who equalised when the ball deflected off Bluebirds defender Roger Johnson into his own net.

  • West Brom boss Tony Mowbray:
"You have got to give great credit to the players for the way they went after the game.

"There are a few disappointed players in the dressing room because we did not win the game and that says a lot.

"The opportunities were there to win the game late on but if you enjoy football it was a great spectacle."

  • Cardiff manager Dave Jones:
"I am disappointed we conceded from set plays and an own goal.

"But I don't think many teams will come here, take the game to West Brom and give them a lesson at times.

"It was a great game. When we go forward we have a lot of power and pace and we gave Albion a bit of a fright."
