West Brom climbed to second in the table after beating 10-man Coventry.
Michael Mifsud was sent off on 10 minutes for leading with his elbow in an aerial duel with Carl Hoefkens.
West Brom were unable to make their numerical advantage pay until the 56th minute when Paul Robinson's classy chip put them ahead after a flowing move.
Andrade Filipe Teixeira swept home the second goal after a defensive mix-up and he got another after a solo run, with Robert Koren tapping in late on.
"It was the right decision. It was a silly challenge from Michael - end of story.
"It was a factor in our defeat. We did terrifically well in the first half and were probably the better side.
"But we gave away a sloppy first goal and then you're up against it against a side who move the ball very well."
"We weren't very happy at half-time.
"The players were having a go at one another, but I don't mind that. We got it sorted out and once the first goal went in we started to flow.
"The players dug themselves out of a hole against 10 men."
