Wolves 2-0 Norwich

Wolves returned to winning ways after beating nine-man Norwich side at home.

Wolves, who lost to Hull on Wednesday, took the lead thanks to defender Kevin Foleys' powerful run and shot.

The home side doubled their lead in the 34th minute when Andy Keogh ran from the centre circle before striking the ball low into the bottom-left corner.

Just past the hour Jason Shackell was sent off for a dangerous tackle and Norwich then lost Julian Brellier, who was red-carded after a second booking.

  • Wolves boss Mick McCarthy:
"Andy Keogh was brilliant, he's been putting the ball in the net all the time in training so I am delighted for him.

"He is the one person here who thoroughly deserved to stay in the team because of his effort.

"Somebody who works as hard as he does earns a right to play football for this club and although people were asking why he was in the team because he had not scored I think he has proved with the goal what he can do."

  • Norwich boss Peter Grant:
"This was probably the worst performance I have had as manager.

"We deserved to be criticised for that performance. It was as tough an afternoon as you are likely to get.

"The only pleasing thing was that it was only a 2-0 defeat because it could have been much more."
