Banned Moore ruled out for season
Derby defender Darren Moore has been banned for four games after being found guilty of violent conduct in Friday's 1-1 draw with Leicester.
The 32-year-old has no right of appeal, and barring an appearance in the play-offs, his season is now over.
Foxes utility-man Danny Tiatto had accepted a violent conduct charge against him following a separate incident in the same match.
The Australian was handed an automatic three-match ban.
Referee Howard Webb did not see the incidents but, after reviewing video evidence, stated that he would have shown both players red cards.
Davies added: "I think Darren has caught the player, he has tried to get away from him, but I certainly don't see that he has intentionally gone out to raise his elbow or arm into the player's head.
"It's a strange one because of what I've seen and because of the player we are talking about."
