Lewes' search for a first Blue Square Premier win continued as they were held to a goalless draw by Ebbsfleet.

Ebbsfleet started the brighter and almost went ahead after 13 minutes when Michael Gash's header was tipped over the bar by Lewes keeper Rikki Banks.

The home side eventually found their rhythm, though, and Matt Geard cannoned a header against the bar.

But the visitors finished the stronger and Paul McCarthy could have won it when he sent a header over the bar.
